Why is Family Guy more popular than American Dad?

American Dad was more funny imo .....:)

Because there's something instantly recognizable in the Griffin household.
American dad has a Republican CIA patriarch. Instantly DIS-likable. Despite the fact that Stan often has his views disintegrate during an episode.
