What’s your favorite hero/villain relationship?

Mine is Green Lantern and Sinestro mainly because it’s so underrated and thier dialogue in the comics is always entertaining. You can tell Sinestro kinda sees Hal Jordan as a son when they’re on the same side and even when they aren’t. It’s like a more developed version of Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader

[b]Wash vs Maine (Red vs Blue)[/b]
Old friends and brothers in the UNSC, but Maine's mind was corrupted by a malignant AI. Maine turned into a megalomaniac, a junky, a serial killer, and it was Wash's job to hunt him down. And he did do it, despite missing his old friend. Afterwards, the UNSC sent Wash and Maine out on a mission together (before Maine was to be decommissioned for killing everyone), but Maine betrayed Wash, in typical crazy asshole fashion. Wash said on the subject,

"I always knew you would do this. I just couldn't believe...

couldn't believe...

I just couldn't believe it."

I always loved their relationship just for how... damn heart-wrenching it was. All Washington wanted to do was stop people from dying, maintain a little order, prevent government superweapons from falling into enemy hands. And he wanted his friend back. But his friend had lost everything, from the ability to speak to his sanity, itself. And Wash just saw his friend where there was only a monster.
