I also like “Brazil” in the mid 80s that did a parody of Orwell’s 1984.

I will put that on my list.
I do remember when it came out; wasn’t that the 90s? My true introduction to their humor was “and now for something completely different” I was able to revisit the Monty Python series and “get” the humor.
I had to go with the "holy grail" cause that's all I'm really familiar with. I thought some of the others were just 'skits' and 'routines'. I didn't realize they were full movies. I've always been a big fan of Monty Python and Firesign Theatre also.... We used to get blotto when I was a kid and make tape recordings of what we thought were excellent 'Firesign Theatre' type stuff! We had some "routines" that we thought were hilarious at the time, but you know how that goes!

The Holy Grail and Life of Brian have the more standout memorable parts but The Meaning of Life has more repeat value and as a whole resonates more and is my favorite.
