Why don't we settle national disputes over land and resources by building skyscraper tall robots and having them fight eachother?

@Fangirlsarah1996 Yeah...too risky too. Why risk losing the war over one robot fight when you still have plenty of bombs, tanks, and missiles out back?

Now what you really need, is an army of smaller robots too...oh wait we're already building those! Maybe one day war will be televised like sports. People will track stats like number of bots destroyed, factory demolitions, and the like as we do now with athlete statistics. And the political consequences will be borne grudgingly like having lost the Super Bowl, at least until you can build your next robot army.

Two people fighting eachother is better than a lot of people fighting.

@Fangirlsarah1996 I wouldn't really say that wars between opposing armies of robots are one-on-one, but yeah people would probably find the whole thing more palatable than actually killing humans.

Besides, in national wars you usually win by destroying infrastructure and the enemy's ability to fight rather than specifically by killing people. Hell, tons of people have died in the middle east, and they're still fighting anyway.
