I Am Socially Awkward

Being Socially Awkward... I am a 17 year old guy and i have so much difficulty interacting with new peoples so much difficulty around peoples even with my relatives i am not able to interact or socialise
I am only comfortable with peoples that know me well or with myself
i avoid parties ceremonies, and every other social gathering when i am forced to attend a social gatherin i find a spot where no one is and sit by myself
I try to be like everyone try to be socially active but the truth is i've developed the habit to stay alone
I feel like being alone is better
