I'm Protesting Negativity

Today we had a walkout for the parkland students and only then did I realize the weight of each and every name on each poster. The name had a face, a body, a family. Each one left home that morning a never got to say goodbye. Those who left to skip class with a good cause should be ashamed of the names they failed to honor.

That fact that there are evil peoplein ths world? Peolpe who get off for being famous, being on international TV hourly. That is name is on every news daily.

The fact that you have been set up to be in so as for people to have the least resistance to doing evil? An area where trained and willing people are not allowed to do what is needed to keep you safe?

@Raven5168 exactly, at the moment its just dirt on dirt of each side of the cause making fun of one another. Nobody is below them and the NRA acts like their superior but the fighters play victim to keep things turning in one another's favor. Just talk, yelling threats and dirty knowledge is stupid and get us nowhere. it frustrating to think that one side blames the other when were all at fault

here is a theory that politicians stay in power by about what is wrong and making people afraid of it. "I see it so I can do something about it" though never doing anything but lie their own pockets

Keep protesting and never give up. The adults have proven unable to do anything about the problem. Our young people get it.

@Greenbare I’m afraid one day that’ll happen to me, maybe not in the same way but I can’t imagine leaving home and never coming back or being able to say goodbye to people who care for me. Isn’t it scary to think about

@sighmeupforthat actually we are, this weekend since the school would have issued harsher punishments for anyone who left campus

@CountScrofula as it went for any school that did it, nothing crazy happened other that one kid telling another off for making fun of the names on the posters
