I Am Amazed At How Cruel Some People Are Capable Of Being

I asked my husband for a few dollars, so i could give it to a homeless fellow. He coldly refused. In fact, I used to always pay an extra dollar or 2 at the supermarket for hungry children, but he wouldn't allow that. When we were driving out of town I saw a guy holding a sign on the side of the road and knew it was pointless to ask him to stop so I could help. Now I'm separated from him and 3 weeks ago I passed a homeless family.. I turned around on the road and gave them money. I am liberated from stifling cruelty!

it's nice to help someone else, I think it's one of the best things there is. The tough part is trying to do it so as not to embarrass someone, like when they can't pay for their groceries etc

@Bushmanoz Yes, it is. i don't understand how someone can enjoy their day while passing by people that are struggling to even eat.

I think a lot of people do want to help, but too many people who dress in better clothes than I have ask for money, it's hard to find anyone genuine if that makes sense?

@Bushmanoz I've not seen anyone in decent clothes asking for money. I need my dollar, but those I've seen those who need it more. Some of them might not even actually be homeless, but I'm not often willing to pass someone by.
