I Have a Suggestion for Similar Worlds

Making a post just now, I stumbled across two posts from a friend in the same group, of which I have been a member for ages. The posts were made during the last three days, in which period I have been online several times, but I had not been notified of them. I would never have seen them if I had not happened to make a post myself in the same group.

Why cannot SW organize its systems so that people are notified of their friends' posts? Or am I missing something? So far as I can see there is no point in having friends at all, except to show one's appreciation to other members.

If you change the homepage filter to Friends Only, you get an overview of all your friends' posts in all groups.

@Gentle153: Yes, but the notifications are much shorter, so many more to a page, and you get a yellow flag so you know how many new ones there are. Are there any technical obstacles to doing what I, and I believe many others, would like?

@MartinII: Not that I know of. :) It has been noted as a suggestion before, but the admins have not commented on it yet.

@Gentle153: Well, I urge them to consider it seriously. Thank you for your responses.

I often visit pages directly to check sometimes, because I rarely see if they added anything.

@Jessa29: Yes, I'm well aware of that. Doesn't answer my point!

@MartinII: She apparently doesn't bother reading other mods comments.

@bettylesswear: if you look at the time stamp we might of posted at the same time.
