We need an option to make it so only people you have added as a friend can send you gifts.

Or at least a way to not open it and not have it permanently sitting there in your notifications.

[c=#4C0073]Lol. Y'all have those problems? I don't get gifts 😂[/c]
Uachtarain · 26-30, M
@Virgo94 erm...what? x
Virgo94 · 26-30, F
@Uachtarain I mostly meant from random people lol. I do get them from you.

SW does a good job keeping me from sending random gifts to people by perpetually keeping me poor

🙋‍♀️At least with the whiteboard section, you can delete it, or turn comments off. 🤔😳🤭😎

@Montanaman I always forget about mine 😂🤣🤣
this makes me want to send you a gift just to stir things up. 😁

@geoam1 And for that month is always there in my notifications, right up the top...

It gets sent back after a month, I believe... 🤷‍♀️
SW-User
@HootyTheNightOwl I didn't know that but I don't want to wait a month and shouldn't have to.
@SW-User Then open and delete them... that's the only other way to get rid of them - or state in your "About me" that you only want to receive gifts from friends.
SW-User
@HootyTheNightOwl Then the sender gets notified and they start messaging me 50 more times until I answer, or they send another gift and start the process over again.
I don't always want to block these people, they just wont leave me alone. And there is a limit to ho many you can block so that's not a real solution, anyway.
Open and delete it. Problem solved.
SW-User
@SooperSarah It's not solved because then people act as though I opened the gift because I want to talk to them, when all I was doing is getting rid of something they randomly forced on me.
@SW-User then block them or ignore the notification.

Thats a really good idea

A way to delete a gift without opening it makes sense. But arbitrarily restricting who can send gifts to whom doesn’t, since blocking is an option. The site has already changed things so that no one can send gifts where the receiver doesn’t know the identity of the sender.
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard THere's a limit to how many people you can block though, right? So that's not a good enough solution. Plus, I don't always want to actually block the person.
What counts as "knowing the identity of the sender"?
@SW-User Did you receive a gift where the person’s username didn’t appear ? They had said they were going to stop doing that a long time ago.
SW-User
@bijouxbroussard No, it wasn't that
