Can we have a temporary report category for people spreading false information about Covid-19?

There's currently a woman saying she's an essential worker and stating that this is all a big conspiracy.

There's no way to report that incredibly dangerous statement.

Freedom of speech means people are free to say things that are false and imoral

@Muthafukajones freedom of speech means the government can't prosecute you for saying something. There are exemptions for people who say things that are false and can cause a panic though.

SW is not a government and it can censor whatever it wants to.

I know that there are limits to freedoms that have various criteria depending on which country you are in and a citizen of but censorship is more dangerous than a few misguided words on any one topic. @CheshireCatalyst

@Muthafukajones misguided words about this pandemic have got many innocent people killed. Innocent people who were following the advice of their news networks, their senators, even their president. It's a tragedy. Plenty more people in the world than in any crowded theatre.

A few people are not as important as the foundations of freedom for so many more yet to live breathe and die into the future. @CheshireCatalyst

@Muthafukajones I think the moment you sacrifice one life for an ideology you become an extremist. Living free and not dying is the preferred option.

One life cannot be your criteria to limit freedom. We all need freedom more than few people need life without freedom. @CheshireCatalyst

@Muthafukajones and who chooses those lives to be sacrificed? What if they were your family? Your friends?
Muthafukajones · 46-50, M
Who they are isn’t important. Our society is more important than any one person or group. @CheshireCatalyst
