It isn't hard to implement just use a boxed chat addon. Can have it added to site in under an hour. It is true, so many other apps for chat discord, kik, fb, etc., yet it is very hard to have a conversation here.

I agree, but it's not necessary when kik or whatsapp are just a click away, so I doubt they'll bother to implement it here.

It's difficult enough to get people on SW to use the PMs, I can't see many using chat - although I would welcome it :-)
