@therighttothink50: My post is a combination of 'tongue in cheek', sardonic, and cynical. Right and wrong and ethics seem to be irrelevant with the current establishment. It's probably divine judgement. As a collective, we deserve what we get.

Ah, the dire fate of a Republic and citizenry who failed to hold corrupt and evil people accountable for their words and actions.

Sadly, we all can sometimes become too comfortable in choosing to live in an illusion when reality requires hard decisions along with swift and immediate action. We are the lost generation, we failed to defend liberty and watched in a stupor knowing the unjust were burning it to the ground right before our eyes.

The land, people, principle, and product of this country are all exemplary, and we might have stayed that way if not for several million people, who, for some strange reason, want things to suck major ass.

@puck61: Ah, well he had a good deal of resistance from the GOP as well. It was an uphill battle from the beginning, and twitter has helped make it even harder. I'm no fan of his, but it is true that he gets attacked often, even for things not so important, but I do think he primed the pump for that kind of treatment too. And if a promise seems too good to be true...you know.
