@abe182: Actually it IS due to angle of attack and a benefit besides specs needed for a trap. . Why the design was kept. Maneuvering ability. It DID out fly the zero 3 to 1. And was better suited to survive a dogfight.

@abe182: anothet truly well developed airctaft of the time. The german FW 190. Outclassed the ME 109 by far. And until the p 51 came along. It ruled the skies.
