@FreeSpirit1 They don't. I have a cousin that was about to sign his papers to start the enlistment process after the first gulf war when he turned 18, when he pulled out his inhaler, the recruiter ripped the papers up and told him he was now officially 4F.

If you have asthma, they would not let you in to begin with. If you lie and somehow manage to get in, your first asthma attack will get you thrown out.
