Cannot Watch Without Tears

I LOVE the music of the Swedish Force Metal band SABATON They are one of the voices of the Populist-Right in Europe but this song and this video of it so moves me that when I watch it my eyes tear and I end the video always with sore hands cause I am pounding out the beat with my fists on the table or floor!

Dedicated to all brave men who defend their countries and culture from evil and specifically to the American soldier, the noblest fighting men since the Poles saved Vienna from the Turks in 1683...The Lost Battalion.

The people around here don't tend to like this song. Why is it the most awesome people are a world away....

@MrNoBody Because from a distance we see the United States more clearly.

And thank you very much for the compliment!

Yes! I love Sabaton. This is a magnificent anthem, and especially appropriate for this 100th anniversary of the conclusion of the Great War (11 November 1918 - 11 November 2018). My paternal grandfather fought in that war, being both wounded and decorated for bravery.

And speaking of the Polish Winged Hussars under King Jan III Sobieski breaking the Siege of Vienna, I know you must know this one:

@Abrienda I watched it! Cool song and video. Very powerful and moving.

@SW-User Classical, opera, movie soundtracks, Medieval (authentic) music, Al Stewart, Edith Piaf. But as for the now SABATON is my favorite group.

@Abrienda Ah! I should have read this before posting my last. Not surprised you recommend those! I, too, enjoy authentic medieval music. Nice to find someone else who does, as well!

I love it...think of the kind of mentality that chose to listen to that every day?
abe182 · 46-50, M
The stakes were very high and very clear. We had a duty to do. Unlike today where's its all muddied up and reality is just another opinion.

@abe182 This is such a great song about a great people. I always beat out "A-dis regarded-demand!" with my fist on the table not holding back ... and I cannot hear "A battalion is LOST in the Argonne!" without tears coming!

You hyped for the great war?
Abrienda · 26-30, F
@FallBlau1942 Stupid immature comment.

I am "hyped" for brave MEN fighting against great odds for their country and comrades with bravery and honor...things you obviously know nothing about and know even less about being a man.

Grow up, little boy.
