When group think makes facts racist

Pope Urban launched the first crusade after over 400 years of atrocious behavior of the burgeoning cult in 1094, and the first trouble the United States had from Islamic radicals was in 1784 with the capture of the Betsey. They were making money off of ransoms and slaves. Islamic radicals were the scourge of the eastern Atlantic. The first and second Barbary wars only worked for so long. They sang the same song then that they are singing now.
Here are the words of Sidi Haji Abdrahaman, the Tripoli envoy ambassador . Jefferson bought himself a Quran after that.

"It was written in their Koran, that all nations which had not acknowledged the Prophet were sinners, whom it was the right and duty of the faithful to plunder and enslave; and that every mussulman who was slain in this warfare was sure to go to paradise. The man who was the first to board a vessel had one slave over and above his share, and that when they sprang to the deck of an enemy's ship, every sailor held a dagger in each hand and a third in his mouth; which usually struck such terror into the foe that they cried out for quarter at once."

Very interesting. I need another cup of coffee...I read this as "When group think makes farts racist." I wish more people could see your contrasting maps.

Don't worry, some will still justify the dozen of dots as a consequence of the few crosses.
@Cierzo

Good point

Admittedly, I'm having trouble interpreting that graphic. Which battles are muslim and which are crusade?

Also, Muslim is a belief system, not a race. There are people who are rasist toward muslims, but it's not possible to be racist toward someone by virtue of their faith.

@SW-User All the red dots are jihad attacks, on the top. The bottom with the crosses are crusade attacks.

Well, tell that to the vast majority of morons that pretend that criticising islam is racist to avoid inconvenient thinking like the map I showed you. You'd be surprised how many lazy idiots do it, they get to feel tolerant and smart whilst being the complete opposite

@pianoplayingsteve So, just to be clear, we agree, right?

My stance is that Islam isn't a race, so you can't be racist against it, but it's a pretty scary ideology all the same. I find people calling others "racist" for questioning a dangerous ideology really bad.

Just making sure we're on the same page!
Very interesting contrast.

Thank you for sharing.
