I Have Divorced Parents

I remember once when I was around 8, I kneeled on my bed and waved out my window as my dad drove away after one of his weekly visits. I missed him so much. I cried into the night. I felt so alone. I inched towards mum's room to find some sort of comfort.
"What's the matter?" she says.
"I miss dad."
"What!? Don't be so stupid. Now go back to bed."
