I Love Barefoot But Hate Sandals

Wow think this group was made for me!

I saw the most ridiculous thing this morning, a girl was walking her daughter to school in the rain but was wearing the barest thin strapped sandals I'd ever seen and was skirting around all the puddles trying not to get her feet wet. I just walked past her barefoot and made a point of stomping and splashing in the puddle... silly women, she should have just being barefoot.

I plan on creating a journalism project (for 2021) about people sharing their barefooting thoughts and adventures. Would you be interested in being a part of it?

Barefoot sandals. People seem to think they have souls but don't. Perfect for places wear footwear is required

I love the feeling of walkig barefoot.
But on the street there are always brokan glasses so it's better to have a sandal on. Sadly.
But I go naked legs all year

@ChloeVSCO I've been barefoot everywhere for 6 years and never had an injury or infection. Luckily broken glass isn't an issue here for me.

@BarefootLouise You are lucky. I guess here too many people drink a lot.

I'm not a fan of sandals either. I don't like the disconnect of having the tops of my feet almost bare while the soles of my feet aren't connecting with the ground. It feels really odd and makes me feel uncomfortable. I'd rather wear either full shoes or bare feet.

I do love the sensation of being barefoot in the rain though ☔🦶👣

It is a great to feel the ground with your bare feet. The sensations can be incredible.

Don't like the tan lines on the feet that sandals cause too😁

I'm also not a fan of sandals or flip-flops. A year or two ago, I saw the exact same thing you did. I was at a park walking barefoot and I saw a girl who was walking barefoot in a way as if the grass was going to eat her alive. Sometime later, she put her sandals back on and started to walk normally again.
