Have you ever known a survivor...borderline scavenger

The type of person who has lived a desperate life so she drops hints at or about everything because she’s hoping you will just give it to her? It must work because she does it all the time. I’m okay with it but I think to myself, so people desperate for her friendship just give away their stuff for people who are bold enough to drop hints? Is this a cultural thing? A woman thing?

Well I’ve befriended this person. She’s decent. But she has that... “what can I get out of this” yet desperation for someone to care for her... friend somewhat controlling... her way of the highway ....she goes between ruling the world and being crushed. Emotional. I just want to know if there is a decent level of that in a person. @stound

@Mindful in my experience, if theyre a scammer, first you'll get much assurance that their money needs are covered. Especially if you dont ask.
