I Am Grateful

I am grateful for another opportunity at life! I did absolutely nothing to deserve this moment, and yet I AM HERE!

I am so appreciative of my sight, the ability to taste and touch, and to interact with the world in so many profound ways. I am thankful for my ability to speak and to hear laughter, to hear passion out of the mouths of others, and to hear silence at times when I need peace.

I am grateful to be sprawled out on my bed and to feel the cottony warm of my blankets and the firm, yet cushiony feeling of my mattress. I'm thankful for having a bed, and a place to live where I feel safe.

I am grateful for my ability to think and process. I appreciate my clarity of mind, the ability to reason, and the capacity to dream. I'm grateful for independence and the ability to choose what I want to do in life, who I want to love, and even how I want to dress today... no fear.

I am grateful for the people in my life that chose to stick around. I am also grateful for those that didn't. I am grateful for the air that I breathe, in and out, at this very moment. I am thankful for my health.

I am thankful for being in this present moment. I am grateful for today.
