I Want Serious Answers To Serious Questions

Comedy-oriented people vs serious-oriented people. I'm starting to think of it almost like introverts and extroverts. From the comedy-oriented perspective, serious stuff is boring and often pointless, and if they spent too much time with it then their heads would explode, whereas funny stuff charges them up (I've had very comedy-oriented people tell me that I need to lighten up or I'll get a hernia). But from the serious-oriented perspective, funny stuff is boring and often pointless, and if we spend too much time with it then... I guess our metaphorical heads wouldn't explode, but we'd be bored as hell, and completely unstimulated.

Being a serious person in a comedy oriented world feels like being an introvert in an extrovert's world (which I also am) - comedy oriented people don't understand that for me, serious stuff doesn't stress me out toward the point of getting a hernia - it stimulates me - and funny stuff, although enjoyable sometimes, gets boring quickly and just doesn't do it for me.

I think it's important to have both. I'm very serious about my humor, lol. But, always being serious and never allowing the brain to relax a bit is torture....almost as much torture as lame humor.

@BlueDiver: LMAO....I am the furthest thing from a dominatrix as one can get. That kind of thing does not interest me in the least.

Then you should stop torturing people with your lame humor!

Humor can be very serious also and sometimes hide a great intelligence behind not only intellectual but also a view of life and oneself.
I don't see people under these two cathegories. The most part of people has the art to be humorous or serious according to the moment and the event.
