Boxing fans: Who is your favorite pro fighter (current or historical) and why? [I Like Boxing]

I am new to boxing but am rapidly becoming a major fan of "the sweet science." Recently, I watched a number of fights on YouTube with Sonny Liston, a genuine scary tough guy who knew how to throw a hard punch but whose life wasn't easy from day one. Can't help but admire him. Since I'm an aging hippie, I also remember and admire Cassius Clay/Muhammed Ali, a man with a great eclectic fighting style and the moral courage to stand up for his convictions. I am a big fan of Smokin' Joe Frazer, too. I recently saw a video of him fighting Iron Mike Tyson and when they ran the camera back, they counted 479 blows Tyson had landed on Frazer in 7 rounds. Eventually, Frazer won on a TKO when Tyson tired out and Frazer knocked him down to the mat. If I received ONE blow from Iron Mike, I'd be hospitalized at best! Cannot imagine being tough enough to take 479 of those suckers. How did he do it?

So...whom in pro boxing do you admire and why?

Well i grew up in the 70's and at that time the heavyweight division had the likes of Ali; Foreman; Spinks; Norton et al.

Tough fighters. Brutal fights. Those guys really earned their money that's for sure.

There was also a spell in the 80's where the welterweight/middleweight divisions was also really tough.
'Sugar' Ray Leonard; Roberto Duran; Tommy Hearns; Marvin Hagler.

Some great fights out there somewhere in online world !
