Should gay pride be banned in UK ?

Banned in more than 70 countries can it be banned in UK?

Not if the UK considers itself a civilized, tolerant land. Just because some countries are still backwards and oppressive doesn’t make that a good thing.

@Tracos If you are thinking of Alan Turing, that happened in the early fifties. Not quite as long ago. But yes, it does go with the little Englander mindset that seems to be sweeping the country.

@kingkyri Well yes they did fear. That's why gay marriage didn't exist back in those times, there was no laws for discriminating against them. That's my point.

For more than a few centuries they thought homosexuality was a mental illness because of their religious beliefs.

If one doesn't support gay people getting married, then it makes sense that they wouldn't believe in their other rights?

Hate crimes can turn into murder.

So I'd question how many hate crimes that happen per year in those countries banning gay marriage

It will be when the UK becomes majority Muslim. Not something to celebrate. You don't have to like pride, but value freedom of speech and expression over banning things you don't like.
