Are Straight Pride parades petty?

I don't see why they are necessary.

I think they're trying to reclaim something they feel they have lost... But I really don't think they lost anything, unless it's a right to bully and denigrate

Yeah, no one in power especially all the conservatives out there are saying they want to take straight people's right to marry away. They've always had a right, quite frankly the only reason you'd go to a straight pride parade is because you hate LGBT people and are spiteful.

Yes. Nobody (well very, very few) have been persecuted for their heterosexual lifestyle. Straight people never had to conceal their identity, sexual preference or orientation. I'd say "petty" is a good adjective to describe "Straight Pride"...

Yes. Every goddamn day is straight pride. I don't think a special occasion is needed to bring visibility, safety, and support to heterosexual people.

Yes, because they’re unnecessary and vindictive, really. Heterosexuals have [b]never[/b] been penalized strictly for being heterosexual. Every event that has traditionally celebrated socially accepted romantic love has been geared towards heterosexuals. Gay pride is [b]not[/b] anti-heterosexual, but so-called Straight Pride [b]IS[/b] anti-gay, just like the so-called “traditional marriage laws”, which were also unnecessary and a way of continuing to shut people out.
