What do you say to a girl when she's sad ?

Its a hard one because some of us lock ourselves away to process the problem. Even simple words and touch can break the dam that isn't ready to break. But simple things like a small touch, a flower, a job she doesn't expect you to do, write a love note and put it where she can find it.....
