It's all about the amount of blue frequency light you get after the sun sets. TVs, computers, desk lamps, and tablets all send out a frequency of light that makes your brain think the sun is out. Your hormones will be signaling your body to stay awake.
You can fight this by reading a book under a special light color, or installing software that will dim your computer monitor to a specific frequency. You can also wear those special "blue-blocker" sunglasses after 9pm and after a few hours of wearing those your body is ready to sleep.
