Have you ever saw someone in pain but couldn't do a dang thing about it?

I feel so INCREDIBLY HELPLESS

Its one of the worst feelings

My teaching assistant has cancer, the school we work at just asked her to leave because she's to frail to do her job. Today was her last day, i gave her a cuddle and tried to comfort her. She cried in my arms for 10 minutes, i cried too. Absolutely heart breaking not being able to help her 😭 she's been teaching at the school for 30 years, its the only thing she knows.

We just went through that with my sister. She had terminal cancer. We were there for her but I could feel her loneliness.

It happens. If you can't do anything now, just move on. The good thing is that you have not suppressed the humanity inside you. Maybe at some later time you will be able to help someone else in similar circumstances.

Yes. My wife often suffers from chronic pain. I know that helpless feeling.
