I Am Seeking Inner Peace

I have been affected by a person lately. Who goes hot and cold on me. Who seems to be playing mind games with me. Who seems to be emotionally invested at one moment and then aloof at another. It made me question if I was insufficient as a person. It affected the way I function as well. I felt like I had to dig deep to read that person but all I am heading towards is a dead end. I think I had enough. Toxic persons need to be removed and I have to make the first move in order for my heart to heal properly. I encountered a phrase by Maria Walley and she says "If someone is making you feel absolutely insane, you should step away." I also read that if a person does not make you "glow", then that person is unworthy of your life.

Thank you. Felt very much reassured with your words. I will look that up. :)

That sounds extremely wise. If someone is toying with you like that, whatever their reason, it can't lead to any lasting good.
Yes, you need to take care of yourself. Keep away from people playing mind games, you don't need that.

Sometimes it's necessary to step away, but only you know what is best for yourself.

Both seem like sound pieces of wisdom.

Perhaps that person is struggling with something as well. I suggest honest communication. It's a rare skill that must be practiced and improved continually in any relationship

@Freefun74 I am sure that person is struggling but it is not on me to figure it out. In fact, I felt stonewalled when I try. Yes honesty is great but not when it is one-sided.

@majesticsea exactly - when things are one-sided, you're just being exploited.

Best of luck to you. Sounds like you know what you have to do

if that relationship is online that seems normal
