I'd Rather Get To Know You Than Small Talk

Sometimes i feel like i come off creepy or too nosey because i am like this. When i meet someone i like to seriously get to know them no matter our relationship. I think being abke to learn all you can about those around you those you care for is important. It gives you a better understanding of why they are the way they are. It shows you what you have in common and things you dont. You learn and experience different situations or sides of life in their shoes when you really get to know someone. I enjoy it very much.

I like to get to know people, too. But I find people are so guarded, I have to ease my way in to break the ice, rather than hit them with a blockbuster question right off the bat. That's too radical for them. So, there's a [i]little[/i] small talk just to get a foot in the door. Once the door is open, then they might feel safer about disclosing to me who they are. I don't like having to do that, and it's taken me a long time to learn I have to if I don't want them to turn tail and run. But it's just the way it is. People are scared.
