I smome cigs but im on a low sodium diet. I got scared like two hours because I felt likecthe center of my chestcsomethibg had stop and I was going to faint.
So I may have this wrong and this isn't advice, I'm only suggesting a few things to suggest to your doctor and see if that's what causing it.
You say you been on a low sodium diet to control blood pressure but if your blood pressure is already controlled, once you stop smoking you may ask your doctor if you can up sodium.
Sodium is an electrolyte and is a necessity so you may be going too low:
I would ask the doctor if you possibly have hyponatremia and also ask that if you quit smoking and it lowers your blood pressure even more, if you can up the salt at least by a little bit to counter the low blood pressure.
But I would ask if you should up the salt intake by a little regardless if smoking or not, fainting may be an electrolyte imbalance.
You should quit, smoking would make anything worse regardless if you have anything or not, it reduces oxygen and also covid is a respiratory illness so maybe get tested if you can.
