I'm a Strange Person

We're all strangers to one another. Let me tell you what made me stranger than I ever thought was possible.
I was sensitive to a new prescription drug. There was no warning, that it could cause a brain hemorrhage.
I thought that the 2nd GABA enhancing capsule was ruining my nerves as it circulated throughout my body. The nurse assured me that side effects would stop.
Ha! not a bit.
I felt like a Freak. 馃懝

The worst side effects don't get put on the RX receipt.
Five years too late, I discovered if you Google the name of an RX + Side Effects, and go to Drugs.com, they will list the common ones, then there's a section under, "For Healthcare Professionals". You might have to look up some terms. It admitted under nervous system disorders that it can cause hemorrhages.

Doctors don't seem to be keeping up with the rarer side effects, and go into denial, and will probably blame it on a psychiatric disorder, if you act like you're upset.
If you have any questions, I will answer you.

I agree that it is important for patients to call the phone # on the RX receipt, soon after you have an allergic or adverse reaction.
Sadly, I learned later that Med Watch only needs one or two well documented reports. Without the prescribing Doctor's report, the patient's report means very little.
My husband should have taken me to my Doctor and made him look at what that drug was causing, then taken me to the ER, to have blood work to prove that it was in my system.
Maybe that is a requirement of being a well documented case.

Thing is some new drugs the side affects are unknown they wait to see how many people will complain about something to actually put it down as a side effect. Scary stuff
