Well then this "balance" isn't worth jack shit, the party system has had America divided for years, people seem to think that it started to divide during the 2016 election but it's been divided since before either of us were born. The republicans blame the democrats for their shit and the democrats blame the republicans of their shit. Instead of focusing on "balance" we should be focusing on unity, despite differences we should unite as one nation in fact we should be uniting as a species.
