4th wave started

No. Of cases reaching new heights today. This never ending plague is annoying. How could this be allowed to happen and last for so long. The culprit stayed away from getting caught and punished. The progress of cure and vaccine is fast but not as fast as ordinary people generally expect, exposing the vulnerability of modern science and the false impression of medical and technological advancement. The way human body is designed is weak and over complicated, any small parts getting damaged would cause huge trouble.

The world is far from perfect, full of flaws in all areas, biological, artificial scientific and technological, managerial, judicial, etc.

We are in the middle of the second wave here (or so they say) , 300-400 people are dying from covid every day (or so they say, I don't believe those figures are true), our 'leaders' say vaccination will start in January (I doubt they will be any vaccine here by this time, and even if they exist, I refuse to be injected a vaccine that was developed so hastily).

I feel life is not life any more, but a novel, a dull one, a novel I did not choose to be in, and one of the worst feelings is that the writers of this awful novel are getting away with it.

@Cierzo I never can understand why people still risk their life to go to unnecessary events and places like bars, parties, etc. When my friends ask me to go out to meet and have meals at restaurants I try my best to refuse to go.

Kindergartens here are turning to online teaching again. My office is also preparing for working from home any time soon.

Public transport is really dirty. I saw an elderly man sneezing on the bus and he intentionally dragged down his mask to sneeze and let all his saliva and nasal droplets spread around, and he turned his face so that he sneezed to the stairs and handrails right adjacent to him where everyone needs to go through and grab the handrails when they need to go to the lower deck. Not to discriminate the elderly but many of them are really unhygienic and selfish in this whole pandemic situation. Maybe one day when I become an elderly I will act the same unconsciously but as a matter of fact this is really bad and unacceptable, even if not because of the virus, when you sneeze, you cover your nose and mouth.

I use sanitizer to clean my hands every time I touch things in public places. After seeing the sneezing incident mentioned above, I will always clean my hands even after the pandemic.

@Sssslm People need to socialize, I understand they want to meet to have a drink or a meal, but it is better to avoid close places, and those where you are almost touching the people at the neighbouring table.

Here young people have been blamed for gathering and partying in large amounts without wearing masks, but I do not think they are solely or even mainly responsible on the high number of cases.

@Cierzo yes just not too often and right not at crowded restaurants.

On the contrary here people getting infected are older people, retired people with nothing to do. So it is understandable how importance socializing for these people is.

The human body is pretty sophisticated actually. It will work towards preserving the internal organs in case of trauma, producing adrenaline to numb the pain and redirecting blood flow within seconds without any conscious action from our part.
@SW-User I think she was talking about apathy in times of great need.

Blame the desire to control and greed. This really isn't about freedom when the corporate profits are so huge and small business are dropping out like dead flies.

@Ingwe can't see billions of individuals as a whole though.
