11am briefing for UK public

Most of what's been said and done about Covid in UK hasn't made much sense to me but I'll be interested to know what's due for announcement 11am today. Hope everyone's taking care meantime.

Hopefully a clear message that can be understood, along with an action plan for the future

@johnbgood my view, the country did what it pleased after that
@sarahcs I agree with you. And that is why it all went wrong
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
@sarahcs @johnbgood I agree with you both. Was absolute hypocrisy but sadly I expect nothing else from current government :(

Another lockdown.
Perhaps a 10pm curfew in some places.
Mandated testing following lockdown.
That's my prediction.

I doubt that anything will be announced as such. I think it will just be a warning from the science and medical experts to adjust our behaviour if we want to avoid further lockdowns and catastrophe. If there were to be any announcements they would come from an elected politician and none of those will be present at this 11am press conference

6 more months of lockdown, I don’t know wether it will be just local lockdowns as opposed to a national lockdown but I’m looking forward to quieter roads and people being nicer to each other again, plus the tips for delivering their shopping to pay for my weed addiction 🙄 my customers are so generous 👍

If there is a lockdown, it will destroy the economy.
Why is a serious message being delivered by a non elected official.

This is part of the problem, the government is feeble and ineffectual. This leads to hysteria and rabid actions from both sides.

As someone who has been locked down for a couple of months now I advise you to be prepared. Get that haircut NOW.😷
PhilDeep · 51-55, M
@whowasthatmaskedman I haven't had one since March. I think it's reached it's natural limit now...

Well, no surprises there, just a summary of data. I actually was quite glad there was not a politician in sight. I'm sure they'll be posing for the cameras with their "following the science" policies later today or tomorrow...

@PhilDeep did you see the graph. It is like a 5 year olds attempt at doing a graph.
Should come with an 18 + rating

PhilDeep · 51-55, M
@GaVmarts They did it on Powerpoint like primary school kids!
GaVmarts · 26-30, M
@PhilDeep Look at the state of it. How did they keep a straight face when they presented it
