In the US, the CDC has admitted that only six percent of the 180,000 deaths were due only to Covid-19. The other ninety-four percent had preexisting conditions.
@RightSaidFred yes , we’ve got different opinions about that , time will tell , that’s fine. Could you answer my question about why you think it’s only in America, not in other countries, that you think people should stop wearing them at that point?
@RightSaidFred ok, I don’t entirely agree with you about that because all the Americans I know who wear masks do so for health reasons but I do know you’re right that the issue has regrettably been very much politicised too. It should simply be a health issue, like it is in my country, not a political one.
Right, but would those preexisting conditions have caused death or did adding COVID to the mix contribute to the death? If so, I’d say the death was due to COVID, no matter the “only” part.
Same goes for AIDS. They may die of pneumonia or an infection, but that doesn’t mean we should discard that AIDS was the main culprit.

That does seem shocking until I realise that just about everyone has health issues
My 'pre- existing' condition is asthma, which from memory affects about 10% of the population
This is a very twisted representation of how CoVid contributes To the rate of death. It’s scary what some people say and how poorly it’s understood. “Comes clean”?
