If you follow the bread crumbs from the beginning, you can make a conspiratorial case. First confirmed case was Nov. 17. By mid December, China had isolated the virus. On Jan. 14th (about a week before Chinese New Year) the WHO announces that the coronavirus is not transmittable via human to human contact. Chinese New Year is a huge social celebration with lots of people travelling around the world. Popular destinations: Italy, Seattle, New York. It all aligns to create the perfect storm.
Not saying this was intentional, but it's not impossible. There certainly are motives for the Chinese gov't to do something like that. More likely the release was accidental, and the cover up was to save face. We will never know for sure.

I am not a fan of conspirasy theories but i cannot shake the feeling that this was well planned and deliberately released....and either it has backfired or is going "tremendously" well...not sure

Its possible but it can never be proven so there I don't see the point in speculating on it.
