@Boardwalk: SW is online and offers a lot of functionality that is enjoyed by thousands of members, so in my opinion that qualifies as a website. Are there any specific functions that you'd like to see added that haven't already been announced?
That's true, SuperCute, but that way SW doesn't get paid. And without income the site cannot stay online, let alone be developed further. And a VIP membership offers benefits that an ad blocker doesn't.
Andrew, how about just putting all of the ads over onto the right column? It's what Facebook does too, and that makes them much less cumbersome, and it also makes it possible to display much more than just two of them.
EXCEPT: Some (not many, just some) of the animated/video ones on the right are freezing the browser.
The one on top? OK. The one on the right? OK, too.
But the one in the middle just makes it too much.
I took the attached screenshot and after doing a few minutes of pixel math I came up with 37.5% of the usable 'above the fold' space taken up by area needed for the three ads.
How about stacking two skyscraper ads on top of each other on the right and doing away with the one in the middle all together?
Or put one at the bottom instead of the middle?
Then three revenue producing ads could go on the page even [i]without[/i] [b]Andrew's very nice option[/b]🙂 of user-ability to nuke one of the ad areas each week.
(I [i]do[/i] realize Google and AdChoices requirements may complicate where you guys can place the ads. So my suggestion may not even be an option.)
BTW, is the add image button not working? I can't seem to upload a photo to this post. When I click on the add image button, nothing happens. The browse computer button does not work. [c=#BF0000]EDIT: I was able to upload the image to my About Me page, then came back and edited this post and [b]voila[/b]! Not only was the image available to choose from my album but suddenly the browse button worked, too.[/c]

@beckyromero: I'll leave your suggestion for the ad placement and your bug report to Andrew, but I can answer your questions. Free members can block 500 people. According to the homepage, free members can upload 250 photos and VIP members 1000. That information doesn't state yet how many more people VIP can block though.
Thanks. I did a poll. Most seem to dislike the spinning logo. I think the best space to remove will be the very top one. It causes the whole page to slide back and forth when we scroll.
