🎁 What Gifts would you like to see on Similar Worlds next? 📩
Hello! 🙂 As many of you may have noticed, we recently released some new gifts over at our shop: https://similarworlds.com/gifts
We have lots more in the making on the way right now.
[b]We would however also like to gather further feedback from members on exactly what types of gifts the would like to see available in our shop.

As I mentioned above, we already have many gifts being prepared and on the way right now, these include:
• [b]Tech[/b]: Computers, Phones and other Devices
• [b]Musical Instruments[/b]
• [b]Toys[/b]
• [b]Sport[/b] Games and Equipment
... and More
We are expecting to release these new set of gifts over the coming 1-2 weeks.

[c=#004A59][big]Why are SW Gifts so costly?[/big][/c]
We do understand that most members won't have sufficient coins available to send lots of gifts daily to friends on this site.
However, our idea behind the SW Gifts is that they would be a [b]Special Event/Exchange[/b] between members, not something to be sent out in mass day by day.
We believe that by having the gifts more costly in our virtual currency, it also adds [b][u]value[/u][/b] to them.
Recipients of SW gifts can know that the senders put a lot of effort into accumulating SW coins, and selectively chose to gift to them, with their limited stash of coins.
[b]This makes receiving a gift on SW a less common, but more Special experience.[/b]

Additionally, [b]we still have plans to release Games to Similar Worlds soon[/b]. By playing games on SW, you will be able to earn coins based on your performance and time spent playing. It will likely be faster to accumulate coins in this way than you currently can by being active on SW.
For these reasons, we prefer not to alter the prices of the gifts at the store for now, in anticipation of our SW Games opening a new great way to earn SW Coins.

When you mentioned "mustang", do you mean as in the Car, or the Animal?
In the edited post, I added an image preview, which includes a Mustang (Car).

This is something we can consider and discuss as the site develops over time. However, this is a very server and storage intensive feature, something difficult for most small startups to offer.
If we attain a certain level of growth and revenue, it should be something we can offer in the future.

Yeah, I understand about server and storage re the videos. I for one support you and hope this site keeps growing. Perhaps if all users made a small donation, you could build it up. Ever considered asking? I think most would comply, really it's worth it when one considers the amount of time spent here.
Another thing, more gestures would be nice too. I loved those back at EP. Of course they came most handy with a whiteboard, but still even without a whiteboard they'd be nice having.

Some esoteric gifts would be nice. Like tarot cards, crystals, incense and symbols.

I think that's a good selection. It did seem like you went rather overboard with the otters so maybe a bit more editing before release 😉 (I think more variety in animal type would have been better.)
Could we have some cheaper gifts. Maybe stuff nobody would want, if you want the others to be special? Some of us have to work and can't play games on a site all day.😉 Such as acorns, screwed up piece of paper, broken vase, dust, a peanut haha. Pauper gifts.

In the selection of emotions we have this hug 🤗. I'd like to see a sad hug. There are times when people share serious, sad stories or comments and I always think that hug looks a bit overly happy and inappropriate but words can be difficult to find.
In the flowers section - release different colored roses. For as women know. Different colors have different meaning. Pink Roses, for instance speak of friendship. And that covers a lot on this site .Red roses speak of passion- and they are not always fitting a gift. White and yellow roses also have significance. Pink- as a Zinnia or carnation is NOT a Rose.
Do period items for the past decades that define the decade- Start with the 1920's- as many relate to that era- either in literature, dress, music or movies, Make a derby hat and a flapper dress. A beaded head crown and a zoot suit. Continue that, by decade, through last century.
I wanted to gift someone tea as they don the drink coffee. Couldn't find that one. There might be fruits too. Can we have socks under clothing? And I do love a collar too. There's likely lots of other stuff. Do you want us to PM you when we get ideas, it's mostly in the situation where they miss being there, and I can throw you a message?
We do actually have several "Tea" drink gifts already planned for this next release.

It would probably be ideal to submit your suggestions in the comments on this post, as it would be organized all here for the staff to review and include them.
Especially since I can never keep up with responding to all Private Messages.
However, you are still free to PM us if you have any private suggestions in mind. :)
@Andrew Thanks. As for collar, we had a spiked collar at the previous site I was on. As for tie, wasn't what I had in mind but maybe that would be a nice add too, and a scarf too. So many ideas.
As for making the comments inside here, fair point. Is it possible you feature this post inside your profile? It would make it easy to find like if something pops into mind a month from now. :-)
I do not really care much about gifts. I want the gestures I had at EP back- and the ability to mass send gifts- and one cost. Bringing back Cards would also be nice. Cards can often say what a gift or gesture cannot.
@GoodoldBob Indeed! They were fun. And they coukld stil charge for them. This is them --the old ones- and the ones we loved- and the ones we want back. View on PC- gibe it a minute to load.

Notebooks or diaries, packs of ink pens, sharpie markers and highlighters, etc. I think that'd be cool for those of us who love to write. Also, paintings would be cool too, like abstract art or even famous art like the Starry Night.

@Deadcutie As a spin off of this idea SW points as a gift. Some new comers might already be friends of someone already here, would be nice to help out your friend with SW points.
Can we have a creeper in the gift-shop? Or, maybe a snake..🤗.? ….they are so necessary and so importent, the creepers, or maybe the snakes, as a gift for dirty old men..🤗..

As for the gifts how about some virtual vinyl records or cds ?
I'm not really bothered how much gifts cost Andrew but how about being able to put a reply box on gifts reiceved rather than feel obliged to send a gift back ?
I send gifts to those who are my real friends i dont want or expect a gift back
It would also be nice if i could speak to my young friend again mejess as SW deemed it necessary her age group can't interact with adults anymore
