It is true that the way I fish is a LOT of casting, and with a long rod, it is noticeable.. But I like seeing the fish launch at my lures on the surface... I can only fish (comfortably) 3 months a year..

@polyandrym66 I do like surface popper fishin, the explosion when a bass hits it is exciting. We also have peacock bass here, pretty fish, nice fight.
