What's your favorite part of a bookstore?

This was privately asked. The SALE section, what else? Lol

I like decorating and arts/crafts. Next is photography.

I love everything about bookstores, the smell, the touch, the idea of buying something to last.

The coffee section

The Dymocs bookstore in Rundall Mall has two levels. The top is larger by far but the ground floor is a corridor surrounded by wood panelling and old style book cases. With the odd reading nook. I just like the ambiance of the ground floor.

@Thevy29 Yes! Ambiance is so important.

Science sections usually have great drawing reference. Fantasy/sci-fi is my preferred fiction genre so I have to scope that out. And there's always something interesting in the mythology and occult corner.

I like to browse different sections, including fiction, law, biographies & even children’s books
IamCuriousBabe · 51-55, F
@BalmyNites I love children's books too.

I adore the illustrations, I still have all my books from when I was a child ♥️

@BalmyNites Same here. That's why there are a few children's books that I keep.

The back room 🤭. What happens in the back room stays in the back room 🤐

The SALE section for sure but then spirituality, nature, science fiction and history.

I love independent bookstores but I like the cafe in the big boxes since I like to relax for a snack and coffee. Just wish B & N served something other than Starbucks. So many better brews out there.
I like the random areas, where you're not quite sure what you'll find, what will spark some interest. or used to be, I don't think I've been in a physical book store in many years.

In my local bookstore...my friend’s picks section. She has great taste in literature and I can always find something worth reading in it.
History, DIY, hacks, homesteading, off grid living, medical stuff
Artsy, occult, childrens, philosophy
The free wifi so I can place my amazon order.
