Any shooters know decent grips for smaller pistols?

My instructor keeps repeating thumbs forward, 2 hands. Little nervous here 😖

Spend more time practicing with what you have. The secret to better shooting is not accessorizing. Dry fire, concentrate on the front sight and trigger control.
You cannot buy competency. Once you have mastered basic skills you may think about other modifications.
Did you ever notice how good shooters seem to be able to do good work with most any gun?
My point is it isn't the arrow it's the Indian.
Perfect practice is the key.

@bowman81 I didn't mean grip as in gun part,I meant grip technique.

@PainfulTruth I'll try that. I love Hogue, my shield does have a Hogue sleeve because the lack of finger grooves annoyed me and my remington 870 has the Hogue 12 lop stock and forend.

Buy a snap cap ( or 6 if using a revolver ) and practice . Laser caps help show you if your trigger pull is off. What gun are you using ?

@Powderflask that works ...😉
Powderflask · 31-35, M
@TexChik that was pointed out. The instructor did respectfully ask why I bought a smaller gun given my size.
TexChik · F
@Powderflask well? Trade that thing in for one more size appropriate for your hands

What style of gun are you shooting with? That will make a difference...
Shipwrecked · 46-50, M
@Powderflask Instructors all have their own special way of teaching too..

Brb... I have an idea.
Shipwrecked · 46-50, M
@Shipwrecked I like the Hogue option... do you have the magazines with the extra grip on them?
Shipwrecked · 46-50, M
@Powderflask ...or... go to full size frame. The compacts are nice, but not so friendly to bigger hands.
Search NRA Family. Handgun basics. However,if you have a flesh contract, it will not matter as your sole objective will be to complete your task.

Get a bigger handgun.

@SW-User that surprises me. I have been asked to leave for open carrying
SW-User
@Powderflask I don't patronize businesses that don't like me carrying in public. It's really that simple. And the only places I legally can't take it are basically bars, grocery stores, and schools, which doesn't bother me much.
Powderflask · 31-35, M
@SW-User agreed. That was an argument it boiled down to. I'm licensed it's my right to carry.... It's my shop, and right to refuse service.

What do you need a gun for
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@Powderflask Then you need to get a properly trained police force that knows what it’s doing
Powderflask · 31-35, M
@Dlrannie I should have explained that better. I don't have a problem with law enforcement but I live far from the city in the "county jurisdiction" response time is a huge problem.
Dlrannie · 31-35, F
@Powderflask We have citizens that live in remote parts of the country that do not feel the need to own guns except perhaps a shotgun for vermin control
GallantlyChurlish · 46-50, M
What’s the course?
Powderflask · 31-35, M
@GallantlyChurlish just trying to improve.
