@therighttothink50 Yes lets get rid of all the useless EPA regulations and go back to poisoning our streams and lets make the air so that you can't go outside in a big city without a face mask like in many places in China. But that is ok the economy will be good. And global warming that is a hoax the sea levels are not rising because ice is melting, aliens are sneaking in at night and adding water to the ocean to screw with us.

@kodiac There are mentally ill that can't work, there are blind that can't drive, there are young that can't afford a car, and old that need help. We can't discriminate against these people just because we are healthy and strong and can work!

A country is as good as it can take care of all those who need help. I pray you don't become handicapped or blind and need help. Only in the USA can't the fathers stay home with newborn babies on maternity leave, only mothers. Its crazy how behind the laws are here. And infant mortality rate is twice as much in USA as in any other Christian western country. It is not ok that children die in the richest country in the world, or the mentally ill have to sleep on the street, or that Big pharma is legally charging so much for necessary meds and Big Banks get bailed out, and business can charge anything and be corrupt while government do nothing to stop it.

They say less government is better, no, its an excuse to take the taxes for themselves and do nothing for the people. Part of the problem is Christian Broadcasting Network and corrupt pastors who are not really Christians and have brainwashed the people in the USA that Government have to leave people alone, or can't help. I personally think that private Big business is killing the USA. And I believe in Government to keep business in check!

That is how it works in happier countries. I have lived in USA, Sweden, England, and France. Many countries have free colleges, free healthcare, cheap mass transit, but the politicians make less in those countries, and the people are happier like Sweden, and Denmark, and Norway. But there is a different mindset in those countries. Its not to pay less taxes but how can we have a better society.

@Carazaa It all sounds so good ,how do you make it work? Who goes out to round up the mentally ill to get them help ? Who can convince them they even need help? I could talk about 14 years in a foster care system that is worse than a nightmare, i could talk about being homeless with mental issues. I could talk about years of abuse ,i could use all those things as an excuse to rely on the system all my life . I choose not to ,it's as simple as that and 75%of the people you want to help could have made the same choice

Americans make so many excuses for their problems it drives me crazy. You have a choice, but some don't. Excuses to do nothing is not ok. We have to [i]care[/i] about the less fortunate than ourselves. One thing private business do and the government allows in the USA is to use sick days as vacation days, and to make people work [i]more[/i] than 40 hours a week for the same salary. This is so crazy.

People need vacation with their families every year, and need a job that is not killing them. Only in USA are kids in front of TV during summer breaks because parents have to work all summer. This is shocking to most people from other countries. In Europe parents get paid 5 weeks with their kids and a few weeks at Christmas. Families need that.
