I want to know if there is a registry for the Blind

When I was very young I became friends with a girl who was blind. We stayed in contact many years. In moving I lost her address. One of my searches was Face Book, and I have no other place to turn. If you are aware of a registry for the blind please let me know.
Tho time has passed she was Blonde Blue Eyed. She would be in her late 60's. Is there such a registry?

Someone would read to her my letters. But she later explained in one of her letters she used a normal typewriter with the brail alphabet properly places on the keys. Sad I only recall her maiden name.

I do have her maiden name But she married a care giver when he lost his wife and I forgot that name..but it was so many years ago.
