If you celebrate her birthday on 3rd August with her and her family. Why don't you notice what she does in October? If you were close to her you could have recognised. However sometimes it happens that actually date of birth differs but can't say anymore in such situations. You should be ok with this because it's only a date not the character of that person.

There could still be many other explanations if he's a good friend and she's there when you need her who cares winter birthday is did she just finished celebrating her birthday or is she getting ready to celebrate it next month

Could have been a situation like I will have about my birthday every single month I get a birthday of the month dinner at a local restaurant sent to a different email account every month I go in there and have me a $15 meal once a month and that day is my birthday.
