What kind of questions would you ask someone if you wanted to get to know them better?

Often I find someone reveals more of themselves in conversation rather than direct questions. Questions gives them time to format their response in a way they think they're expected to say. So I just let conversations do the trick with the prompting questions off it.

To really understand someone you need to understand their pain. That takes time. No specific questions come to mind.

Do you think this rash is contagious?

Do you like cats?

From a set of questions that are out of the ordinary, but not out-of-line, to avoid getting stock or scripted answers.

Favorite type of music
Favorite type of Movie

Do you eat ass

Questions that are right on the line of upsetting them, to see who they are, and if they get upset i have a way to back out of the topic. 😊
