I like the attention he gave me

My good friend, he’s the only friend I had that seemed to ever give me his undivided attention. He’ll stop what he’s doing to talk to me if I’m having trouble. We used to always talk but I’m stupid and always disappeared on him. It’s happened twice now. “On and off” you could say. I’d talk to him, and then he’d annoyed me and I’d stop talking to him. This happened a couple times. I’m such a stupid drama queen lol. He’d always give me attention and talk to me because he seemed like he was the only one who genuinely enjoyed it. He never gave me the cold shoulder or held a grudge against me for it. Whenever I wanted to talk and be friends again, there he was. Ready as ever. Now that I think about it, I like that. I appreciate it. There aren’t many people who would stick around even when it seems you’ve kind of drifted apart for some time. Especially not when you have a bad attitude and ditch the conversations for stupid reasons. It seems like all these times, he’s been kind of patieent with me?? These days we don’t live in the same state anymore. I moved 3,000 miles across the country and he stayed behind. Going to school and working. He’s busy so he hardly has time. Recently though, it seems we’re starting to talk again. He’s buried in school and work though but talks to me when he can. And he even started teasing me again, which is a good sign lol good as in “things are the way they used to be” as far as our banter.
