Because a lot of people are just here for superficial reasons. Venting, distractions, just generally focusing on their own shit. That and a lot of the people that come here to genuinely connect with others are bombarded by people that want to use them to get off.

Have something in mind that you want to discuss (which hopefully relates to something the person you're PMing has in their posts/questions/groups..?) or your messages will go into the filter.

It’s easier to build a connection/friendship through questions and answers first than it is to simply pm random users who’ve never seen you before. Maybe you should try answering some user’s questions you like and try interacting with them that way instead or even ask some questions of your own regularly and interacting with the users who comment on them. People are able to recongnize you that way through Q&A so even when shooting them a message out of the blue you’re more likely to get a response because they at least know who you are. I’m not into messaging in the slightest but if I notice someone I’ve spoken to a lot through comments or have seen them on Q&A regularly Where I’ve gain a sense of who they are I usually will speak to them for a bit if they message me.

Remember Experience Project?
If I am not mistaken Similar World is a continuation of that now discontinued website.
I was there a lot because I wanted to share my feelings on different issues.
I was hoping then I could find good friends to share ideas and feelings with
Nothing sexual just a good friend female or male.
When Similar World appeared I wanted the same thing just a good friend to contact and share thoughts and feelings with.
Once again I am not here looking for something beyond friendship
I admit that is a hard thing to accomplish here at Similar World.
I am a very serious person and I feel we are living in extraordinary times
There is a lot about these times to talk about.A lot of things we should be discussing.
So remember this post I am not here to kid around.

Its not that hard - It's just not what most people really want.

Because they constantly ask to see pictures of you like annoying creeps and can’t respect that you like your privacy.

Or they only act like they care about what u need to talk about and try to discreetly turn the discussion towards sex related topics

Or they inbox you asking if you wanna see them shit themselves and roll in it.

Or, without you even asking, they’ll dm a pic of themselves to you and ask for one back and when you politely decline, they’ll curse you and say you’re faking your gender.

I could go on but there’s no point. It’s all mostly the same stuff.

Not sure what you mean. I have a number of friends on here I talk to every day. Not only in the US but England, too. Keeping in mind any time difference.

It’s so easy to be a creep on this site because they have no restrictions.

Many times it depends on what you want to talk about.

If you change you sex on here to female you will have no end of people to chat with 😂
