So a friend for a number of years

Just told me to stop talking with them. I have known this person for about 5 years more or less. I don't know why, I asked and pressed..and was told pretty much that the person cannot deal with anyone any more.

Sad to be sure... broken hearted.. but if that's what that person wants..

try not to feel sorry for yourself. it really sounds like your friend is going through a rough time. "cannot deal with anyone any more,"

maybe the nicest thing you could do is give them what they need... alone time.
