Why is my best friend so rude?
So, I'm saying this more so to get it off my chest than anything else. Also, get ready, it's gonna be long, and might not make sense.
OK. So, I go to the gym every day with my best friend. Yesterday while at the gym, my friend asked me if I wanted to hang out, and I said I'd have to see because I needed to clean my room. By the time I got home, it was almost 2:00, and my friend said her boyfriend would be at her house at 3:00 so they could go to a movie together. I snapchatted my friend, and I told her that I was just going to clean my room. But then, I changed my mind, and decided to eat lunch and take a nap first. When I woke up from my nap, one of my other best friends who is in town for winter break asked me if I wanted to go to the mall with her, so I said yes. Then today, I told my other friend that I got a cool blanket at the mall, and she got SUPER upset. She thinks that I chose my other friend over her, which isn't the case. By the time my other friend had asked me to hang out, she would have already been at the movie. And while I didn't clean my room, which was the reason I told her I couldn't go, I didn't lie. I admit, I should've been more direct and told her that I didn't think she'd have time, but she thinks that I lied to her, and chose my other friend over her. I explained what happened, and then I got over it. She then told me that she went to get her nails done without me, which I wanted to do with her. I told her that I would've gone with her, and then she said "Why don't you take Ashley?" (my other friend.) I ignored it, and then asked if she wanted to go to the gym tomorrow, and she said "Well, wouldn't you rather go with Ashley?" And then after that, I went off on her and kept trying to re-explain myself, because I didn't want her to be angry or leave her with the wrong impression. Then she said that I was the one who started all the drama, and that I should've left it alone, which I would have done if she hadn't been so petty about saying "Well, why don't you take Ashley instead?"
ALSO: I forgot to say this originally, but I didn't ask her to do anything afterwards because I assumed she'd want to spend time with her boyfriend.
