What do you think about my neighbors? What's going on?

I live in a very quiet neighborhood...except...every so often the couple next door get into a really LOUD fight. Or, at least, the woman is loud; you can barely hear the man's replies. They are in their mid to late 70s. He is a retired professor, I've heard. He seems devoted to his wife to whom he has been married a long time. They own 3 expensive vehicles although she rarely drives. Here is what she says at very high volume during their arguments:

"YOU ARE A [i]PHILOSOPHER![/i], A [i]PHILOSOPHER !!![/i]"

She has shouted this during several different arguments, over and over. Honestly, I am not eavesdropping...it's really loud and clear, can't miss it. Their arguments last for anywhere from 40 minutes to about 2 hours.
